#MeToo
Many of you may be familiar with the trending hashtag, #metoo, symbolizing the denouncement of sexual harassment and assault. Popularized by celebrities to spread the word and expose the commonality of sexual violence women experience all too often, this hashtag has created an outlet for women to unite and share their personal stories. It is common for women to hide such experiences due to shame and embarrassment, but I want to encourage anyone who has been through similar trauma, to speak out about their struggles. Whether it be through social media or in a confidential appointment with me, it is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s not your fault. Let’s unite together, ladies (and gentlemen too). #metoo
